Close Rate Calculator
This close rate calculator shows how one group moves through your funnel. Enter counts from the same group so each rate can be compared.
It measures conversion and leakage between aggregate funnel stages, plus the overall close rate for one cohort.
Formula and assumptions
How this calculation works
All counts must come from the same cohort. A later stage that is larger than the stage before it gets a warning and produces negative leakage, because the funnel cannot be read as one cohort.
Stage conversion = next-stage count ÷ prior-stage countOverall close rate = wins ÷ starting qualified opportunitiesStage leakage count = prior-stage count minus next-stage countStage leakage percentage = stage leakage count ÷ prior-stage count
It does not explain why a stage lost people. It does not tell you how to handle a lead or deal.

Questions
close rate calculator FAQ
What is a close rate?
A close rate is the share of a starting sales group that became won customers.
Why must each stage use the same cohort?
A mixed group can make later stages larger than earlier stages. That makes the stage rates hard to trust.
Does stage leakage show the cause?
No. It shows where counts changed. It does not show why they changed.
